I was raised in Northern California. I relocated to Las Vegas,
NV when I was 19, were I resided for 35 years. I spent 30 years
in the food service industry. I started out as a hostess and then
spent 15 years as a General Manager for Denny's Restaurants. I
have one son Jason, and 3 grand daughters all residing in Las
Vegas. I married my husband 10 years ago. Every summer we came
up to Ladysmith to visit his family and I fell in love with the
area. We planned for many years how to make the move to Ladysmith.
When the market in Las Vegas was high that was our chance to sell
and move here. Before leaving Las Vegas I completed the appraisal
portion of my education. When we came to Ladysmith, I received
my Sales Associate License and my Broker license from the WRA
in Madison, WI. I opened RE-MAX Today's Properties on September
1, 2006. Opening a business in this small town is a dream come
true. My goal as a business owner is to give back what I can to
the community, I believe when one wins we all win. I was very
please when asked to consider our board. I worked on several local
charities in Las Vegas, for my church and community, I always
found it very rewarding. I would be proud to be a part of this
new foundation and hope to hear from you soon.

I was born and raised in Hawkins Wisconsin, and graduated from
Ladysmith-Hawkins School District. During High School. I would
take small jobs to earn a few dollars such as mowing lawns, painting,
babysitting, and waiting tables at Big Bear Lodge in Winter Wisconsin.Fulltime employment started with Northern Sash & Door Company
in October of 1973 as a Billing Clerk who prepared invoices and
took care of the mailroom. In March of 1975 I moved into the Personnel
Department preparing payroll and being the assistant to the Production
Manager. At this point I started to take several Management courses:
Administrative Management, Supervisory Management, APICS Managing
Change, Project Planning, Scheduling & Controlling, Team Management,
Dale Carnegie and First Aid/CPR. It was around this time that
Northern Sash & Door changed it's name to NORCO, and
in July of 1979 I became the Human Resource Manager. This position
involved hiring, orientation, developing company policies, organizing
company events, administration of company benefit programs, payroll,
Unemployment Compensation, and company spokesperson with regard
to Union negotiations and relations. This position later included
office administration: receptionists, mailroom, phone systems,
office supplies, office machines, etc. NORCO was purchased by
JELD-WEN Windows and Doors in July of 1996 and we experienced
another name change. My job title was changed from HR Manager
to Administration Manager but my duties remained the same.In March of 2001 I became the Office Manager of the Hawkins facility.
In addition to managing the HR and Administrative areas, I became
very involved in the monthly financial reports, budgeting, short
and long term planning, coordinator of most legal issues, JELD-WEN
Foundation requests and community relations. We have strict goals
for safety, on-time and complete, and for customer satisfaction,
all of which involve daily attention. My present position involves
working very closely with our facility General Manager and Production
Manager, as well as JELD-WEN Managers at the corporate office.
We believe in networking with sister companies as well as local
companies in hopes of having the "best practices"
at our facility. It is my hope to continue working for JELD-WEN
until I retire.
While the Hawkins school was operating, I was the community representative
on the Hawkins facility Site Council. On a frequent basis, I attend
the Hawkins Village Board meetings in an effort to keep up with
what is happening in our Village. I am very active in the Hawkins
United Methodist Church and have been the treasurer, PPR member
and UMW member for years. For three years I have been a member
of the Hawkins Library Board which meets monthly.
I am married but have no children and we live north of Hawkins
in the Township of South Fork.We enjoy camping, dirt track
racing, canoeing, hunting and mother nature. We have a huge family
